Instructions for Returning Students with a Parent Portal PowerSchool Account

  1. Review the “Introduction” page and click “Next” to enter the forms. Answer the requested information, especially all questions marked with a red asterisk that require an answer.
  2. Click “Next” to move from page to page. Please be sure to download and print any forms that you will need for future reference.
  3. Clicking “Next” on the final form page will take you to the “Review and Submit” page. Review the information entered very carefully, as this information will be the information transmitted to the district. If you would like to make a change, click on the underlined field or click “Prev” to return to the forms.
  4. When you are satisfied with the information entered, click “SUBMIT” in the navigation bar at the top right of the screen. NOTE: On the “Review and Submit” page, you will be alerted of any required field which has not been answered. To continue, all required fields must be answered.
  5. On the “Submission Confirmation” page, you may choose to print a copy of the submitted information.
  6. If you have other children in the family, you can complete their online registration as well.
  7. When all Returning Student registrations have been completed, follow the instructions on the Submission Confirmation page for any appropriate “Next Steps.”
 

Instructions for Returning Students with a NEW Parent Portal PowerSchool Account

  1. Open your Web browser to the PowerSchool Parent Portal URL at https://powerschool.gwd50.org/ 
  2. Click Create Account. The Create Parent/Guardian Account page appears.
  3. Enter your first name.
  4. Enter your last name.
  5. Enter your email address.
  6. Enter your desired user name. It must be unique. If the name you choose already exists, you will be prompted to enter a different one after you press the enter buttons.
  7. Enter your desired password. It must be at least 6 characters long.
  8. Re-enter your password.
  9. Enter your student's first and last name.
  10. Enter the ACCESS ID the school gave you in the Access ID box.
  11. Enter the ACCESS PASSWORD the school gave you in the Access Password box.
  12. Enter your relationship to the student.
  13. If you have an ACCESS ID and ACCESS PASSWORD for another student, you may enter them on the next line.
  14. When all the student information has been completed, press the enter button.
  15. If successful, you will be directed to the login screen. If you receive an error message, you must correct the error(s) and re-enter the parent password(s) for all students listed. You may then press the enter button again. Continue correcting errors until you see the login screen after pressing the enter button.
  16. Once you have access to the Parent Portal and log in, you will find a navigation bar located on the left-hand side. At the bottom of the navigator bar, you will find the link to the Returning Student Registration site. Click on this link to complete registration for your returning student(s) and follow the steps for Returning Students with a PowerSchool Account listed above.
 

New students must be enrolled at their zoned schools.
